The Wonders of the Melting Winter

March came in that winter like the meekest and mildest of lambs, bringing days that were crisp and golden and tingling, each followed by a frosty pink twilight which gradually lost itself in an elfland of moonshine.” ~L.M. Montgomery

Winter: It is in the final throes, the cusp when the days gradually begin to finally grow warm and tingly with Spring at long last. We are quite lucky that it has made a light meal of us here on San Juan Island, mostly only baring it’s claws via the season’s chilly air. Let us hope that it has taken it’s final bow of sugaring our lands white to let Spring finally roam amongst us!

Are any of you ready for Spring? Or do you wish that Winter would last a little bit longer? Let me know in the comment section!

Fondly,

The Fascination of Fog.

Most seem haunted by the fog, as well as the rain that can sometimes accompany it.

To them it is a veil that has dropped making the world lose it’s respective color. But for me it often heralds a time of inspiration, renewal, and (I dare to even say) comfort!

Here are a few photos chronicling my inspiring walk down near my small island town’s port/ferry landing and I hope you enjoy them! But if you do choose to include these very photos on your own blog or elsewhere on the web, please be courteous and ask for my permission. Also, please link back to this post…that is all I ask!

And I ask you: What weather inspires you and gives you comfort? I would love to hear all about it in the comment section!

Thank you for reading!
